Hello there scrumptious ones...

It's time to story tell... Oh Yeh....You know it... IT'S FEATHER TIME!!!

When Monique Carroll has one of her "Ah-huh" light bulb seabird vision moments there is nothing that gets in the way of her reaching her dream and goal for the squad! Nothing. She just gets busy getting it done! (like a BOSS)

Im pretty sure if she dreamt up the idea that the Manly Seabirds would enter the field on top of elephants - she would simply sashay her sassy self down to Taronga Zoo and convince them to lend her the juiciest and yummiest elephant on hand. (It would most probably be Luk-Chai, as he is a young, buff, showy babe. Just saying.)

(SIDE NOTE:. the word "Sashay" is ridiculously bodacious: "To walk in an ostentatious yet casual manner, typically with exaggerated movements of the hips and shoulders." So it's pretty much how i get about on a day to day basis. ha!!)

So in saying that when Monique had her vision of Feathered Skirts teamed with "Feather boys" she went into complete Seaqueen mode to turn her dream into reality. And so began the hours and hours and hours of work sewing each and every skirt and top!! Completely submerging her house in a sea of feathers!! haha

I just have so much squeal factor bubbling over just thinking about how faboosh and fun our final home game at Brookie was this year and it all goes down to the hard work Monique put in to make it happen!! We are extremely lucky and i can only see her crazy ideas get crazier and crazier as every year passes!

For the first time at Manly an exclusive group of guys were brought onboard to help the Seabirds perform a brand new routine with big new surprises. The fleet of dreamboats were a combination of the Seabirds boyfriends, friends, brothers and dads who aptly named themselves "The Manly SeaHawks" and who absolutely killed it game day in front of a 15,000 strong crowd!

Each and everyone of them deserve such a huge wrap and thank you for being such big sports who were willing to brave the Brookie Hill die hards to effortlessly lift, throw and jive with their respective Seabird.

The guys made our final home game that much more fun and defintely one to remember. Until next year i guess!! Prepare for bigger tricks and for the guys to be pushing for more field time to showcase their new set of skills!! haha

IT was the war of the cheerleaders as Manly Sea Eagles' Chloe, 20, faced off against Sydney Roosters' Olivia, 19, at Balmoral Beach ahead of Sunday's Grand Final.

Showing it's not just the boys who are busy preparing for the game, the girls face a gruelling week of cheer practices and fitness sessions to get their routines game ready.

The first Grand Final for both, the girls agreed the pressure was definitely on for the squads to bring their A game.

"The Grand Final routine is definitely more heightened, there's a lot more pressure," said Chloe.

Olivia agreed and said the energy of the crowd would keep their spirits up for their "fun and vibrant" routine.

"There's a lot more nerves for a Grand Final game, but the nerves give you a bit of a rush, more energy."

And while both cheerleaders are calling the win for their own team, both wished the other well.

"We're going to bring the trophy home," Olivia said, "but we're all pumped up for the game and wish the players the best of luck, we're their fan club so we're there to cheer them on."

Gold Coast Titans cheerleader Hayley Moulds had a feeling her long-time boyfriend Ben Rigney was preparing to propose soon. She just didn’t think it would be while she was at work.

It was the feel-good moment at Skilled Park at the weekend as Ms Moulds, a member of the Gold Coast Titans cheerleading squad, was stunned by Mr Rigney, who crept on to the field and popped the question in front of 15,786 people.

Ms Moulds, 23, said she had no idea about her partner’s elaborate plan, which he had spent months preparing. “I didn’t think it would be so public,” she said. “He told me he had something special planned. We were still in the middle of our (dance) routine.”

Mr Rigney, 24, said his girlfriend’s initial response had him worried that she was going to say no.
“When I was just sort of thinking of memorable ways to tell her, I thought there was a bit of an opportunity there with her being a cheerleader for the Titans,” he said. “She said yes obviously, so it worked. “It’s still all a bit of a blur still at the moment.”

The carpenter said he had played for the Bilambil Jets reserves in their semi-final win earlier in the day before backing up to propose to Hayley. “It was a pretty stressful day,” he said.

Ms Moulds said she met Mr Rigney while socialising with mutual friends and said that they were likely to get married some time in 2014. The dental nurse and Griffith University nursing student said one location she envisaged her partner proposing was on a balloon, but said she thought it was unlikely since one of Mr Rigney’s friends recently proposed the same way.

“I always thought it would be on a hot air balloon,” she said. However, Ms Moulds said what made her husband-to-be’s proposal so special was that her family and friends were there to witness the occasion.
