Auction for Ruby xx

A few days ago I received an email which truly highlights just how many special women touch the sport of Rugby League in so many different ways.

The email was sent to me from the beautiful Emma Soward who is the wife of Penrith Panther’s player, Jamie Soward, and it was regarding a sick little girl close to the couples heart named Ruby Adams who is in need of a great deal of support.

Now Emma doesn’t know im doing this, but what I witnessed in this group email which included many wives and girlfriends of NRL players across the league really needs to be acknowledged and shared. As it shows just how much these women do behind the scenes - especially in times of need - when organising a signed boot or jersey of their partner could go such a long way in making a difference in the life of another.
What followed this email was a domino effect of genuine kindness and concern one after the other of ladies offering their help along with many donations from the companies they work for. With it being "Women in League" round this week it was extra special to witness this particular group of women being the most warmest of heart examples of "Women in League" making a difference in the Rugby League community.

So i urge YOU to please read below and if you can attend the fundraiser or offer a donation to be raffled on the night it would be a huge help for Ruby and her family during this difficult time.

Hayley
xx
Sweet little Ruby Adams
At 6 weeks old Ruby was diagnosed with an abdominal birth defect and at 4 months old she underwent major surgery to repair the damage to her diaphragm in an attempt to get her off a continuous feeding pump that she relied on 24 hrs 7 days a week.

Unfortunately, the surgery failed which meant that Ruby began to deteriorate very quickly and the nasogastric feeds via a continuous feed pump had to be restarted. Ruby is needing to have further surgery done to repair her abdomen including the use of an artificial graft to aid in making the repairs to her little body.

The cost of this constant feeding method is continually building each month for Ruby’s family and medical bills will always be a big part of her and her families lives.

So this is where YOU can help make a difference to a little girls life.

Below you will find the link to the facebook page where you can find all the information for ways you
can participate and help...
