The Bulldogs v Manly game was a great way to kick start the weekend for all Manly fans and saw a crowd attendance of 18,563 turn out to watch the Dessie v Toovey square off! The beautiful Belles performed a fun pre game routine to Bingo Players ft Far East Movement "Get Up" but sadly for them they didn't get to have too many Try celebrations. Never mind - they were shown on the telecast during both player run outs and as you can see from the pics it was a gorgeous sea of blue!
I managed to watch a few games over the weekend with the Parramatta v Cronulla game being the most special and emotional to watch. The Johnny Mannah story and the incredible impact he has left on the world of Rugby League is such a sad yet beautifully inspiring tale. Even without ever meeting John, im sure like many others - i found it hard to fight back the tears as the crowd paid tribute and celebrated his life at Parramatta Stadium where the first annual Johnny Mannah Cup game took place. The strength of his family is something to be admired and it was so great to see the Eels win and for his brother to have that moment with their entire family.
It really puts into perspective just how precious life can be and how we must all treasure the things we love and take each and every moment as a gift.
xx
