Wests Tigers Cheerleader Display....

Cheerleaders on display
By Sally Lee

INTENSITY Dance members will sport their black-and-orange outfits to cheer on the Wests Tigers at the SCG on April 14.

Twenty students from the Bonnyrigg Heights, Green Valley and Hinchinbrook studios will be among 500 cheerleaders who will take to the field at half-time for the Wests Tigers NRL Dance Spectacular.

It will be part of the Wests Tigers versus St George Illawarra Dragons match celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1963 grand final, which was the inspiration for the NRL’s Provan-Summons Trophy.
Jade Geary, who established Intensity Dance four years ago said the girls had been practising the ‘‘cheer pom routine’’ for six weeks.

‘‘This is the first time for our dance studio and all the students are honoured to have the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people,’’ she said.

‘‘The atmosphere is going to be amazing and the experience will be one they will never forget.’’
